KAKARIKI (2007)

Contact

KAKARIKI is the Maori name given to the beautiful maiden wearing a Maori Design Cloak made from flax.

In ancient Times the NZ Maori also wore the Cloak as a Rain Cape. They are very warm in winter and when the rain hits the flax, it just slides downwards. These Cloaks are also dyed in different colors and weaved.
